Vocals
Sang in Helloween from 1986 till 1993
During the "Kiske era" Helloween have seen their highest rise and their lowest fall. Back in 1987 the new singer's vocals simply blew up the festivals, concert halls, record stores... But it appeared that Michael wasn't just a magnificient singer with a high, almost operatic voice. His composer skills and ideas were growing quickly. That became one of the reasons that Pink Bubbles Go Ape and Chameleon albums were so different. Unfortunately, in the end of 1993 Kiske had to leave Helloween due to many reasons (mostly musical and personal). Kiske have released a few solo albums since then. His music has become less and less "hard and heavy". Sometimes Michi surprises the fans of melodic metal by his guest appearances on albums of his "metal" friends like Gamma Ray or Masterplan, or metal operas like Avantasia and Aina or other projects... Apart from music Michi is hugely interested in philosophy, religion, occultism. He has even written a book of his own, called Kunst und Materialismus ("Art and Materialism") and several philisophic essays.

"...during this time when I have been out of the band I was not really sure whether or not I still wanted to be a musician. I never admitted this to myself, but subconsciously I was not too sure I still wanted to be a musician. So I kept on being a musician and it took me about 6 years to find out that I still in fact want to be a musician, and that I really truely love to be a musician!"
"The older I get the less interested I get in ranges and techniques and stuff like this..."
